Bundle up, babies!
Winter and holiday time can bring up all kinds of challenges amidst many delights, and tapping into our creativity calls forth warmth and fortitude for the season.
Here at Conspire, we’re bundling up three hands-on, screen-free, cozy, winter-related creative workshops to rock your winter woolly socks off.
There will be tea. And snacks.
In all three workshops, we blend
somatics/mindfulness
inquiry/discussion
& guided artmaking
with a range of art supplies included.
For people of all skill levels. Our sessions are prioritize process, connection and play over skill.
the three workshops
12/6 festival of lights Chanukah art-making
Sunday December 6th 5-7pm
w/dani
During the Jewish holiday of Chanukah, we light candles as ritual practice in the darkness. In this creative workshop, we’ll move through short texts on light/darkness, engage in inquiry, settle into guided art-making, and end with reflection. People of all faiths and spiritualities are welcome.
12/13 solstice altar art-making
Sunday December 13th 5-7pm
w/kim
As we descend into the darkest part of the year, we may find ourselves in need of deeper spiritual connection. In this workshop, we’ll spend some time in meditation, journaling, and group exploration around the spiritual energies and beings we can connect to at this time of year. Then we will move into non-conversational art-making (to music), each creating a piece of devotional art for a winter home altar.
12/20 coming home to yourself for the holidays art-making
Sunday December 20th 5-7pm
w/tikva
This workshop will introduce somatic exercises to move through stress, non-conversational art-making time, and clay-based creative processes to create a personal talisman for strength. Join in the community camaraderie to boost inner resourcing during the holiday season!
