a cozy space for creative rest & coherence in troubled times

What’s Coming Up At Conspire Studio

Flowers for Abed: Insights and Inquiries from the West Bank with Sonia Marcus

Conspire Studio collaborates with Sonia Marcus, changemaker, meditation teacher and former Executive Director of Southern Dharma Retreat Center. Sonia will share stories from her last three months doing protective presence work in the West Bank, weaving in insights from her own Jewish and Buddhist spiritual path and thoughts around the movement for collective liberation – in Israel/Palestine and beyond. Through a structured and gentle process, Conspire Studio facilitators Dani Austin and Kim Wayman will guide us into non-conversational art-making to process what we’ve heard (no skill/experience necessary). Please be aware that violence and violent language will be mentioned in the stories that are shared, with opportunities to move in and out of the space as needed. We’ll have hot tea and snacks and designated space for folks to care for themselves. Suggested donation $5-15.

Thursday, March 19th 6-8pm

At Conspire Studio, we offer guided creative practice and one-on-one coaching sessions that encourage resilient and soulful ways of being in times of change.

We believe that creative practice is a way to cultivate skillful responses to uncertainty, challenge, and change. Through creativity, we find unexpected pathways to coherence when it seems impossible to make sense of what’s happening in the world or in our personal lives.

What People Are Saying

  • There is something so genuinely resuscitating about being in the Conspire space and its energy. The content of each class pulses vital and poignant and the guides (Kim & Dani) always (always) share such an illuminating presence, soulful comfort, warm inspiration, and gentle wisdom that your blood remembers.

  • In this space, there is no pressure to be anything but who you are in that exact moment, no expectation, no judgement. We shared a reading, posed questions, sought meaning; some shared, some had private musings. The atmosphere was gentle, the room buzzed with quietude. And meaning. I will definitely be returning again and again.

  • The container created by Kim and Dani is both spacious and intimate. Their group sessions provide a balanced mixture of quiet self inquiry and journaling, sharing with partners, and group discussion questions. The space for art creation encourages acceptance and individual expression, with quality art materials. There is so much intention in the studio space itself, you will find yourself feeling very cozy and inspired.
