a creative project incubator

Join us in the liminal space between Christmas and New Year’s to let yourself creatively unwind, reflect, and set yourself up for the upcoming year. This artist residency will provide a chance to be in a small cohort of other artists (and not-necessarily-artists!) who would like to bring a creative project to fruition in 2027. We define creative project loosely, meaning it could be a writing project, a visual art collection, designing an event, creating a new branch of your business, or another body of work. Through creative coaching, mindfulness practices, peer support, and parallel art-making, you will dedicate time and space to tend to your inner creative world.

five days of creative reflection & reset

We’ll begin the morning of Sunday, December 27th (10am). Our small cohort will have time to settle into the studio and share about what brings us here. We share so we can hold each other’s visions throughout the five days together, perhaps beyond that. The first couple of days will be spent largely in reflection and metabolization of 2026—what the heck happened, what worked and what didn’t, what worked but in ways we didn’t see until this moment, what seeds were planted, what’s bugging us still, what are we ready to let go of.

Then we’ll move into laying out a project for the coming year—what are we dreaming into, where are the gaps, how do we use timelines and milestone to map it all out, what support do we need? We’ll have time to reflect at the end on this process, where it is and where to go next. We wrap up at 1pm on New Year’s Eve.

No two residents will experience this residency the same, and that is part of the magic. We invite each resident to bring your perspective and curiosity, creativity, doubts, griefs and joys, and everything in between. What alchemy can we access when we bring our creative desires and visions close together? What becomes possible that wasn’t possible for any one of us on our own?

we’re seeking applicants who

• are in need of restoration and unwinding from 2026

• have a vision for a project, offering, or intentional new life chapter you’d like to set into motion in 2027

• want time and resources to prepare creatively for the coming year

• want to be in supportive creative community

• might identify as artists/creatives or might not, but nevertheless have a desire to create, build, or shape something with intention

• are never quite sure how to use the time between Christmas and New Year’s but feel the potency of it (whether an observer of these holidays or not
