“Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.”

— Rainer Maria Rilke

New Year’s Question Setting Salon

Saturday, January 17th 3-6pm

At our New Years Question Setting Salon we will embark on a creative journey to discover the questions that matter most to us, questions we can live into all year long.

In the dark of winter, we naturally pause to reflect on where we want to grow in the coming seasons, and many combine this with the turning of the year, in the form of New Year’s resolutions. This question salon differs from the practice of setting resolutions because it’s not about success or failure, but rather cultivating a practice of creative inquiry to enrich and shape our lives with meaningful questions.

Through small group discussion and non-conversational art making, we will invite the questions most alive for us in 2026.

Register early, spots are limited. Sliding Scale $75-100.

Program Schedule

We are the Great Turning Creative Study Group

honoring the work of the late Joanna Macy

Part One: Sunday February 8th & February 22, 2:30-4 pm

This series is a creative study group following the work of Joanna Macy & the podcast We Are the Great Turning. We’ve broken down the series into three parts- you’re invited to take all the parts or select which of the three work for you. In the first two sessions, we will explore the stories of our time and begin with gratitude for the world we love.

Part Two: Sunday March 8th & March 22nd, 2:30-4 pm

In these two sessions, we’ll continue following We Are the Great Turning, moving into honoring the pain of the world. In these sessions, we’ll lean into the heartbreak for all the ecological loss we’re experiencing, and give expansive space to be with the pain.

Part Three: Sundays in April TBD

In the third pair of We Are the Great Turning, we’ll use creative inquiry to guide us through the practice of “seeing with new eyes” and being in the question of how we can embody the Great Turning.

Location & Parking

We are located upstairs in the Northside Design Collective building (formerly Envision Eyecare). Please do not park in the Northside lot during daytime hours. There is plenty of parking on the other side of the building, off Blair St, where our entrance is located. There are four parking spots on the same side as the building, or you can park in the lot directly across the street.
