Community Sessions

Each program is a 90-minute, small group, guided session.

Each session begins with arrival and grounding, moves into engaging with ideas and intentions, and then into art-making. At the end, there is time to witness what we’ve created and optional sharing.

Every session is designed to meet you where you are, at any experience level.

You are invited to put your phone away, slow down, settle your nervous system, and reconnect with your creative self.

Open house: come make Valentine’s day cards! We’ll provide tea, music, and art supplies.

Friday, February 13

2-4pm

A session for creativity and brain health. We start with grounding for our nervous systems, followed by small group discussion to activate our thinking brains, and finally non-conversational art time to activate our complex and intuitive cognition systems.

Mondays 10-11:30am

We will gather images and words that resonate. Working with fragments, we’ll explore collage as a way of listening, assembling, and re-imagining, allowing new images and meanings to emerge through the act of making.

Mondays 5:30-7pm

In this space we invite presence with our feelings, questions, and thoughts. We practice slowing down, allowing what’s present to be there, and gently noticing what emerges.

Tuesdays 10-11:30am

In these sliding scale sessions (suggested $15-35), we explore one card in the Major Arcana at a time, in tandem with the schedule set by community collaborators Ritual Movement. Come deepen your relationship with the Major Arcana through discussion, meditation, and art making. All experience levels welcome.

For adults 60 and older, this class explores the joys, beauty, and wisdom of this phase of life: being in full bloom. In Western culture, aging can often mean losing instead of gaining respect, when we know that this is often when people have the MOST to give back to their communities. Come make art, make friends, & explore.

every other Thursday 5:30-7pm

Join us for our sliding scale community Shabbat session! We'll spend time in havruta (buddy study) and then drop into a playful and intuitive space of non-conversational artmaking. No text study or art experience necessary! Jews, non-Jews, and Jew-ish all welcome.

every other Friday 5-6:30pm

An art making session for poetry lovers. We’ll read poems chosen for their potential to move, inspire, and/or evoke something meaningful within us. Then we’ll use the creative process (art-making or writing) to deepen our personal relationships with the images and feelings that arise.

every other Sunday 2:30-4pm

Whether it’s personal loss, climate grief, heartbreak about what’s going on in the world, or just a general feeling of sorrow, we let the creative process hold it for us.

every other Sunday

2:30-4pm

Location & Parking

We are located upstairs in the Northside Design Collective building (formerly Envision Eyecare). Please do not park in the Northside lot during daytime hours. There is plenty of parking on the other side of the building, off Blair St, where our entrance is located. There are four parking spots on the same side as the building, or you can park in the lot directly across the street.
